Description
SPAX decking screw stainless steel A4 Our compact cylinder head with T-STAR plus T25 drive ensures a precise bit fit, minimizes splitting when countersinking and offers as little surface area as possible for water to attack. The star-shaped, vertically arranged drive surfaces make it easier to position the tool and prevent cam-out – protecting both tool and screw. The special T-STAR plus connection with guide pin ensures optimum power transmission, long bit life and a perfect fit. The fixing thread ensures that even after the wood has shrunk during winter, the decking boards remain firmly in place and do not start to creak. The unique SPAX wave profile running along the thread down to the tip allows for fast, secure driving and pulls the screw smoothly into the wood – without pre-drilling (depending on the wood type). Decking boards and substructures are often exposed to the weather all year round. Thanks to the corrosion-resistant design in stainless steel A4, our decking screws withstand moisture, temperature changes and aggressive environmental influences – even where other screws would fail. Screws made of stainless steel A4 can do everything an A2 stainless steel screw can. However, the higher alloyed grade “4” makes these screws additionally acid- and seawater-resistant. This means they are the perfect choice for coastal areas or near chlorinated water, for example on decks around garden pools.
