Description
Nothing can damage a building as much as water penetration. To prevent this, not only the building materials used must be waterproof, but the fasteners are also part of a well thought-out waterproofing system. The SPAX sheet metal screw is used where plastic roofing panels, sheet metal or connecting profiles have to be permanently tightly fastened. For this purpose, our sheet metal screw is made of stainless steel and is supplied with an attached washer with a sealing rubber made of EPDM. The latter prevents water from entering the structure through the drilled hole in the roof cladding. Unlike other products, our sealing washer is one-piece and has a diameter of 15 mm. This benefits not only the seal itself, but also the distribution of pressure on the often sensitive plastic and metal surfaces. The screw and sealing washer are made of A2 stainless steel and can withstand direct weathering without any problems. In addition to the larger sealing washer, it is above all our SPAX-typical features that make our SPAX screw so special: these include the T-STAR plus power grip and the 4CUT tip, which offer unique processing advantages. What this means for you: You can securely fasten roof panels and exterior cladding in a single operation and permanently seal the fastening points.
